Crystalac, Acrylothane (Clear Satin, Gallon)

CrystaLac Acrylothane is a high solids protective topcoat for any size wood project. It's non-toxic and non-flammable, making it perfect for use indoors, and will leave a crystal clear and super durable protective layer over your project that will last generations. Acrylothane is ideal for finished or unfinished wood projects! For best protection in high-traffic areas such as bar tops and tables, we recommend CrystaLac Extreme Protection Polyurethane.

• Surface Preparation: For best adhesion, all surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned, scuffed and wiped down before applying Acrylothane. Make sure there are no traces of silicone or wax on the surface. Acrylothane can be applied over bare wood or over paints and stains that have been thoroughly dried. Please refer to the manufacturer's suggested dry times.
• Temperature: Apply at room temperature with an environment, product, and surface ideally between 68 F and 75 F.
• Application: Open and stir the contents of this container. DO NOT SHAKE. Do not thin products with lacquer solvents or mineral spirits. For brushing, use a soft bristled dry brush. Apply long even strokes using light pressure. Do not overwork. Acrylothane will self level and bubbles will pop out as it dries. For spray application see website. For best protection, use a minimum of 3-5 coats. Only sand as needed. It is not necessary to sand between each coat. Allow to dry overnight before sanding. Wipe off all sanding dust before recoating.
• Dry Time: Dry to touch in 1 hour. Allow 2 hours of dry time between coats. Ambient humidity will increase dry time. Allow the product to fully harden before full use. Cure time can vary by number of coats and environment.
• Care: Cleanup any overspills with water. Future cleaning of the finished surface can be done with warm water, using soap if necessary. Use of household chemicals is not recommended.
• Storage: Store at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight. KEEP FROM FREEZING. Ensure product is sealed properly when not in use to avoid evaporation.
• Warranty: Test to your satisfaction on scrap material before using on project. The manufacturer, CrystaLac, will only replace a defective product. Under no circumstances will the manufacturer or distributor be responsible for the cost of the application labor, refinishing expenses, or any costs in excess of the purchase price of the container.
