Classic vintage Eales of Sheffield (English made) oval covered casserole or vegetable dish. Includes a divided GlassBake glass insert which fits fully in the well of the silverplate dish. The bottom silverplate piece has a 1 1/4" rim around the dish which allows for it to be easily carried from kitchen to table. The corresponding lid fits snugly over the glass insert and has two scrolled handles on either side. There is a hallmark on the bottom of the bowl Eales 1779 Silverplate.
